Sergio Ramos’ goal against Borussia Dortmund with ONLY stadium noise.

i have fucking CHILLS

fucking crying

crying and have chills. this is beautiful.

i’m sorry i’m reblogging myself so often these days but. look. at. this. Please, for all of us undergoing the piss-poor behavior of the team and the drama, forget about it for a second and watch it again (if you haven’t already).

I started watching this and naively thought “well the Madridistas are already pretty loud and I’m not that impressed?”
And at this point, I’ve watched, lived, breathed, and cried over this goal so many times that I’ve practically memorized every move and detail with which it unfolds.

And yet when Karim volleyed the ball over to Sergio with typical-flash-of-brilliance-Benzema style control and fluorish, and Sergio slew that ball into the back of the net…I was not ready for the veritable explosion.

Guys. Everything about it. Everything. The decibel level. All the Madridistas in a sea of simmering emotion and white, brought to their fucking FEET like a rising tide, their throats raw and roaring, their hearts and lungs swelling with possibility and pride in the course of one. split. second.

I feel like I finally understand the maxim “90 minutes at the Bernabeu is a very long time.”
It’s not about remontadas. It’s not about La Decimas. It’s not even about Real Madrid’s history our our legacy or our iconic players.

It is fundamentally about love. The connection and unity between the players and their supporters. How one directly feeds into another, then back again, in a not-always-perfect but an unbreakable cycle.

Look at this. We are all one. We are one unbelievable entity.

Players and managers and controversies and trophies will come and go. But at the expense of sounding like a hippie transported from the 60s, noone. NOONE and nothing can take moments like this away.

“Our strength is you”?

No. Our strength is us. There is no distinction. And noone can EVER ruin that.

Also on a personal note of noticing everything about my favorite player, I can practically see, smell, hear, and TOUCH this as the moment that officially cemented the eternal bond between Sergio Ramos and all Madridistas. If there ever were doubts, there will never be again. You are ours forever.
